    Speaker Carl Heastie has announced his intention to renominate Dolly Caraballo to the Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government. Caraballo has been serving as a commissioner since 2022. She is a managing member of the law firm Caraballo & Mandell, LLC and is an experienced civil litigator who has tried cases in various forums, including U.S. District Courts, New York State Supreme and Surrogate Courts, and New York City Civil Courts.

  • Assembly Majority's AI speaker pilot program credited with saving woman's life

    Over the last two years, the Assembly Majority has secured $1.2 million in state funding for a pilot program providing seniors with no-cost AI-powered speakers for medication management and critical emergency response. More than 500 seniors have benefited from this initiative. Earlier this week, it was reported that this program helped emergency responders save the life of 75-year-old Queens resident Sung Ja Lee.
