AACR is a leading professional association dedicated to cancer research with a membership exceeding 50,000. Its annual meeting attracts nearly 25,000 professionals globally.

Jerusalem Therapy Center hires new clinical director
Yair Berko, LMSW, has been appointed as the new clinical director of the Jerusalem Therapy Center. Berko brings extensive experience in both clinical practice and administrative leadership within mental health organizations. Prior to joining the Jerusalem Therapy Center, he served successfully as the clinical director of therapy centers for Ezer Metzion and Bayit Cham.

YU professor explores insights into Torah through Nachmanides' interpretations
Dr. Michelle Levine, Associate Professor of Bible at YU’s Stern College for Women, is a leading scholar on the biblical commentary of Nachmanides, the foremost thirteenth-century Spanish exegete. Levine’s scholarship focuses on Nachmanides’ interpretation of biblical narrative and song. She has recently presented several papers at academic conferences in the US and in Israel at Hebrew University and Tel Aviv University. Additionally, she is completing her second book on Nachmanides’ biblical commentary.

Yeshiva University has announced the appointment of new members to the Board of Overseers for its undergraduate schools, Stern College for Women and Yeshiva College. The new appointees for Stern College include Doba Isaacs (Chair), Dr. Annie Baron, Dr. Robyn Horowitz Grossman, and Saritte Silvera. For Yeshiva College, the new appointees are David Rauch (Chair), Drew Parker, and Shai Barnea.

Student team's proposal reaches finals in business case competition
Members of Team Thunders, Abdulla Mamun (M.S. in Data Analytics and Visualization), Loretta Ching'andu (M.S. in Digital Marketing and Media), Rachael Ojopagogo (M.S. in Data Analytics and Visualization), and Mapalo Lukashi (M.S. in Data Analytics and Visualization), have advanced to the finals of a business case competition sponsored by the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College with their proposal to reform the New York City subway system.

Parnes Clinic hosts community resources event for migrant teenagers
On May 5, the Parnes Clinic at Yeshiva University hosted its first Bronx Community Resources Event, welcoming 60 migrant and asylum-seeking teenagers. Local organizations such as Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and the Center for Family Life were present to help attendees access services ranging from health insurance to academic support.
