MSK announces multiple fellowships and awards for 2025

Shelly Anderson Hospital President | Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) has announced several awards and appointments as of March 2025. Almudena Chaves Perez, PhD, a postdoctoral fellow, Adriana Mujal, PhD, a postdoctoral fellow, Hina Shah, a graduate student, and Lydia Paraskevi Tsamouri, a graduate student, have each been awarded the 2025 Marie-Josée Kravis Women in Science Endeavor (WiSE) fellowship. The Kravis (WiSE) initiative annually awards fellowships to female graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to support their research efforts at MSK.

Ariën Schiepers, PhD, a research fellow, has been chosen for the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation Fellowship. This fellowship offers $3000,00 in funding to support young scientists pursuing careers in cancer research.

Jamie Ostroff, PhD, psychologist, Chief of the Behavioral Science Service, Vice Chair for Research, and Joseph Gaumont Chair of Cancer Prevention, has received the Ruth McCorkle Excellence in Research Mentorship Award. According to MSK, this award is given to an "APOS member who has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to making a significant positive impact on their mentees’ education and career."

Jason Klein, senior vice president and Chief Investment Officer, has been recognized with the Strategy Award by the Markets Group. This award honors effective investment strategies that foster dialogue among financial allocators.

Dr. Christopher Crane, radiation oncologist, has been awarded the Nobility in Science Award by the National Pancreas Foundation. The award acknowledges those who have significantly contributed to pancreatic care and research.

Additionally, MSK has been included in Newsweek's list of America’s Most Loved Brands of 2025, based on a survey of 24,000 American consumers conducted in partnership with analytics firm Plant-A Insights.
