The Mount Sinai Health System has named Dianne Aroh as the new Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer for both The Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai Queens. Aroh brings over two decades of leadership experience to the role.

Aroh's career began at Montefiore Health System in New York City and continued at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey. Most recently, she worked as Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Washington, overseeing nursing and patient care across 11 hospitals and more than 300 care sites.

Beth Oliver, Chief Nurse Executive and Senior Vice President at Mount Sinai, expressed enthusiasm about Aroh's appointment. "Her passion for patient-centered care and her commitment to excellence will undoubtedly propel Mount Sinai nurses forward as leaders in nursing practice and innovation. I would also like to express my gratitude to Lorisa Richards for her outstanding leadership during this transition. Her role in supporting this important work remains critical."

David L. Reich, Chief Clinical Officer and President of The Mount Sinai Hospital, also praised Aroh's track record. "Dianne’s leadership, vision, and dedication to innovation will be invaluable in strengthening Mount Sinai’s nursing practice."

Aroh expressed her enthusiasm for joining the team and returning to New York City. "I am honored to join the Mount Sinai Health System and return to New York City to work alongside such a dedicated and talented team of professionals. I look forward to connecting with the communities we serve and the brilliant nurses who represent The Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai Queens."

Aroh, originally from Jamaica, was inspired to pursue a career in medicine after seeing the care her brother received from nurses and physicians. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Pace University and a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from Villanova University. Currently, she is pursuing a Doctor of Education in Organizational Change and Leadership at the University of Southern California.
