St. Mary's Healthcare has announced that applications are now open for the Carondelet Community Fund grants. These microgrants, reserved for nonprofit organizations within St. Mary's service area, are capped at $10,000 each. Submissions are due by April 25.
Applicants are required to submit a letter detailing a brief history of their services, the need they are addressing, their expertise, the geographic area and population served, and a summary of the project with objectives and anticipated results. A financial statement, including the IRS 990 and proposed grant budget, must also be included, along with proposed program dates and a partner list. Letters should not exceed five double-spaced pages.
Submissions can be sent via mail to the Carondelet Community Fund, care of Margaret Brodie, Vice President of Mission Advancement and Patient Experience at St. Mary’s Healthcare in Amsterdam, NY. Alternatively, applications may be emailed to brodiem@nysmha.org.
Established in 1996, the Carondelet Community Fund honors the legacy of St. Mary's founders, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, and aims to continue their service tradition. The fund supports collaboration with community organizations to enhance health and well-being in the Fulton-Montgomery area.
The Carondelet Community Fund Committee will evaluate the applications, with recommendations sent to the St. Mary's Healthcare Board of Trustees for review. Decisions are expected to be released after May 31.
