Adriano Espaillat, a U.S. Congressman representing New York's 13th district, has taken to social media to express his views on recent political actions and figures. Serving in Congress since 2017, Espaillat has been vocal about issues affecting the American workforce and democracy.

On March 5, 2025, Espaillat highlighted the plight of federal workers under current leadership. He stated, "Octavio es solo uno de los muchos estadounidenses víctimas de la purga indiscriminada en la fuerza laboral federal por parte de Trump y Musk." He further described Octavio as a dedicated public servant whose absence weakens the federal government.

In another post on the same day, Espaillat criticized former President Donald Trump's approach to worker welfare. He remarked that "Las palabras de Trump no se corresponden con sus acciones." Espaillat accused Trump of threatening essential programs like Medicare and Social Security despite claiming concern for the working class.

Additionally, Espaillat expressed strong disapproval of Elon Musk's influence in politics. On March 5, he tweeted that "Elon Musk y DOGE no son héroes." Instead, he labeled them as adversaries to democracy and constitutional values.
