St. John’s ICARE Foundation recently visited The Episcopal Church of St. Albans the Martyr to acknowledge the church's ongoing support in community outreach efforts. On February 23, Ceallaigh Watts, Manager of Foundation Programs and Events, expressed gratitude to the congregation for their contributions that help uplift those in need.
Nancy Leghart, Executive Director of the St. John’s ICARE Foundation, emphasized the importance of these partnerships: “We truly appreciate Rev. Keith A. Voets and the entire congregation at The Episcopal Church of St. Albans the Martyr. They are strong proponents of the St. John’s Episcopal Hospital Auxiliary, along with many other congregations in Queens and Long Island, and we wouldn’t be successful without them. Their support is invaluable and we are eternally grateful.”
The church has donated over 500 reading books, 1,000 menstrual products, and more than 300 baby items for a mother/baby initiative led by the foundation. In addition to these contributions, they participated in the foundation's Adopt-A-Family program last year by providing holiday support to a family.
The visit highlighted not only current collaboration but also planned visits to other auxiliary congregations throughout the year as part of appreciating their continued support.
St. John’s ICARE Foundation was established in 2021 with a mission centered on fostering philanthropy to aid Episcopal Health Services and St. John’s Episcopal Hospital through various initiatives including equipment funding and capital projects.
