On December 18, Nyara Sabally visited HSS Lerner Children’s Pavilion, meeting with children recovering from surgeries. This visit was particularly meaningful for Sabally, who has experienced injuries and undergone surgery at HSS herself. Her interactions with the children emphasized perseverance as a shared experience.
Sabally stated, “I feel like that’s one of the strongest characteristics that I have is just perseverance.” She continued by reflecting on her own experiences with injuries and expressed the importance of looking beyond them. “Just being able to give these kids some tips means a lot,” she added.
The New York Liberty's initiative highlights their dedication to fostering strong connections within the city.
