Yeshiva University has announced the appointment of Sandy Moore as the new Director of University Libraries. Moore is returning to Yeshiva University, where she previously served as Head Librarian at Pollack Library.

Before accepting her new role, Moore was the Associate Library Director at New York Institute of Technology. Concurrently, she is pursuing a PhD in Higher Education Administration from Texas Tech University.

Moore's career includes serving as the Library Director of Allen Community College in Iola, Kansas. There, she participated in various committees related to Academic Affairs, Curriculum, Accreditation, and Strategic Planning. During her tenure, she managed acquisitions, electronic resources, library technologies, reference services, library instruction, access services, interlibrary loan, library programming and assessment.

An alumna of Rutgers University with dual degrees in philosophy and religious studies, Moore also holds a Master of Arts degree in religious studies from the University of Kansas and a professional library degree from Emporia State University.

"Sandy is happy to be back," said Wendy Kosakoff, Public Services and Outreach Librarian. "She looks forward to helping the university fortify research and information literacy instruction and explore open educational resources while meeting the challenges of providing information access and stewardship in the 21st century."
