Maimonides Health has announced a partnership with AngelEye Health to integrate the MilkTracker system into its feeding management processes. The collaboration aims to enhance outcomes for both medical staff and families by utilizing technology that streamlines feeding procedures, minimizes errors, and encourages family involvement.
According to Alok Bhutada, MD, Director of Neonatology at Maimonides, "We’re excited to implement AngelEye Health’s MilkTracker solution, as it provides an invaluable tool for both our care teams and the families we serve." He added that the system helps streamline feeding processes, offers lactation support tools, ensures transparency, enhances family engagement, improves patient safety, and meets regulatory requirements efficiently.
MilkTracker supports regulatory compliance by electronically tracking essential data related to human milk and formula use. This reduces the risk of human error significantly while ensuring accurate record-keeping. As a result, Maimonides can meet industry standards and maintain a high level of care for NICU patients.
Christopher Rand, CEO of AngelEye Health stated: "At AngelEye, we believe that empowering families through technology is key to providing optimal care in the NICU." He noted that MilkTracker not only boosts clinical efficiency but also strengthens the family's role in infant care by offering mothers lactation support during this critical period.
The adoption of MilkTracker across leading hospital systems has been recognized for its positive impact on patient care and adherence to feeding management regulations. This partnership highlights Maimonides' dedication to delivering innovative and family-centered care in their NICU.
