Hakeem Jeffries, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New York's 8th district, recently shared his views on social media regarding the Republican Party's budget proposals. His comments focus on perceived threats to Medicaid and Social Security benefits, as well as potential impacts on the middle class.

On February 13, 2025, Jeffries expressed concern about the GOP's budget plan. He stated, "The GOP budget is out. Republicans recently promised to love and cherish Medicaid. Their actual plan is to destroy it."

Later that day, Jeffries highlighted remarks by Representative Ralph Norman concerning Social Security benefits. He tweeted, "Rep. Ralph Norman just made clear that House Republicans are coming for your Social Security benefits next. Take a hike."

In another post on February 13, Jeffries described the Republican budget as a betrayal of the middle class. He wrote, "The Republican budget is a betrayal of the Middle Class."
