Hakeem Jeffries, a U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 8th district, has been vocal on social media regarding several pressing issues. His recent tweets have highlighted concerns about the cost of living, Medicare, and data protection.

On February 4, 2025, Jeffries expressed his surprise over rising living costs with a brief statement: "Wait. The cost of living was supposed to go down. Not up."

The following day, February 5, 2025, he addressed the issue of Medicare in another tweet. He stated: "Republicans have been ordered by their billionaire Puppet Master to end Medicare as we know it. Democrats have 215 members in the House who can stop this extreme effort. All we need is three House Republicans to join us."

On February 6, 2025, Jeffries tweeted about a legislative initiative by House Democrats aimed at protecting taxpayer data. He warned against efforts by some Republicans and wrote: "House Democrats have introduced the Taxpayer Data Protection Act. Far right Republicans are trying to plunder names, addresses, birthdates, Social Security numbers and bank account information from the Treasury Department. We will stop it."
