Hakeem Jeffries, a U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 8th district since 2013, has shared his perspectives on various issues through a series of tweets. These tweets address political and social concerns, reflecting his stance on matters impacting the American populace.

On January 31, 2025, Jeffries criticized Republican policies in a tweet. He claimed that Republicans are "trying to rip you off by stealing taxpayer money in order to cut taxes for billionaire donors and wealthy corporations." He further alleged their determination to "slash Medicaid, Head Start, Meals on Wheels and funding for first responders." The tweet concluded with the hashtag "#NeverSurrender." "Republicans are trying to rip you off by stealing taxpayer money in order to cut taxes for billionaire donors and wealthy corporations."

In another tweet dated February 1, 2025, Jeffries issued a statement concerning what he termed the "FBI Purge," which he suggested could endanger the "safety, well-being and national security of the American people." The tweet included a link to his full statement. "My statement on the FBI Purge that puts at risk the safety, well-being and national security of the American people."

Later that day, Jeffries tweeted about Black History Month. Emphasizing its significance as an integral part of American history, he asserted that efforts would be made to ensure it is not erased. "Black History is American History. We will never let anyone erase it."
