Adriano Espaillat, a U.S. Congressman representing New York's 13th district, recently shared insights on the impact of the CHIPS Act through a series of tweets. Espaillat, who has been serving in Congress since 2017 after succeeding Charles Rangel, discussed various aspects of this significant legislation and its implications for local economies and the tech industry.

On December 13, 2024, Espaillat tweeted about hosting the Department of Commerce at Bronx Community College for a Latino Workforce Roundtable. He stated: "I am honored to host @CommerceGov at @BCCcuny for a Latino Workforce Roundtable on the CHIPS Act and discussion on its boost to our local economy and look forward to a productive discussion on how to implement tech solutions for local businesses, youth, and underserved…"

In another tweet posted shortly thereafter, Espaillat highlighted the broader national impact of technological advancements facilitated by the CHIPS Act. He remarked: "New advancements in computing will create tremendous growth for communities across the nation. The CHIPS act will deliver opportunities for to bolster our workforce in STEM and dramatically lower the cost of living for American families."

Espaillat also reflected on President Biden's role in enacting the CHIPS Act two years ago and its effects on U.S. semiconductor manufacturing. He tweeted: "By passing the CHIPS Act, @POTUS Biden put the nation on the path to tech industry solutions. Now two years after being signed into law, U.S. semiconductor manufacturing has seen unprecedented growth – and is positioned as the industry that will define the next age of global…"
