Adriano Espaillat, a U.S. Congressman representing New York's 13th district, shared updates on his recent activities and legislative priorities through a series of tweets. Espaillat, who has been serving in Congress since 2017 after replacing Charles Rangel, continues to focus on issues such as education and legal rights.

On December 11, 2024, Espaillat tweeted about hosting graduate students from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) at his office in Washington, D.C. He stated: "Fue un placer recibir hoy a los estudiantes de posgrado de la @PUCMM en mi oficina de Washington, DC, para reconocer su arduo trabajo y dedicación en el comercio internacional y la gestión consular."

The following day, December 12, 2024, Espaillat emphasized the importance of ensuring that communities are aware of their rights as the new Congress begins its session. In his tweet he said: "As we enter the new Congress, our job is to ensure communities know their rights, provide legal services, and to protect due process. #Fact: We are still a nation of laws."

Later that day in another tweet written in Spanish on December 12, 2024, he reiterated similar sentiments regarding community rights and due process: "Al ingresar al nuevo Congreso, nuestro trabajo es asegurar que las comunidades conozcan sus derechos, brindar servicios legales y proteger el debido proceso. #Realidad: Seguimos siendo una nación de leyes."
