Yeshiva University has announced that Noam Wasserman, the current dean of the Sy Syms School of Business, will leave his position on May 31 to become Head of School at Ramaz starting June 1. Wasserman, who has been with YU since 2019, is recognized as a best-selling author and an expert in entrepreneurship. His leadership has enhanced the academic standards of the business school while integrating Torah values into its education.

Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman, President of Yeshiva University, praised Wasserman's contributions: “Noam Wasserman has been an excellent leader for the Sy Syms School of Business, strengthening its academic foundation and instilling the business school with the values-driven education that define Yeshiva University,” he said. Berman added that Wasserman is "a stellar role model for our students and represents the best of our community."

During his time at YU, Dean Wasserman recruited top scholars from renowned institutions such as Harvard, Columbia, and Yale through nine successful tenure-track searches. He also introduced several programs including the Jewish Values Program and Business Communications curricula. Additionally, he established initiatives like the Bloomberg/Drelich Lab and launched an online MBA program featuring new concentrations and dual-degree tracks.

Reflecting on his tenure at YU, Dean Wasserman expressed gratitude towards Rabbi Dr. Berman for allowing him to serve as dean: “YU’s unwavering commitment to Torah values...have been an inspiration every step of the way." He also looked forward to his future role at Ramaz while cherishing his six years at Yeshiva University.
