St. John’s University’s Maurice R. Greenberg School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science, part of The Peter J. Tobin College of Business, will honor M. Steven DeCarlo, Executive Chair of Amwins, as the “2024 Insurance Leader of the Year” at its 29th Annual Insurance Leader of the Year Award Dinner. Mr. DeCarlo will be introduced by both Amwins’ Executive Vice Chair, W. H. “Skip” Cooper, CPCU, and Chief Executive Officer Scott M. Purviance, who will join the ceremony as Honorary Dinner Chairpersons. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the New York Marriott Marquis in New York City. Proceeds from the dinner support the University’s Greenberg School students and programs.
“Steve has a more than four decades-long track record in building one of the industry’s premier Excess and Surplus participants. We are delighted that he has been selected as this year’s Insurance Leader honoree and will be with us at the award event next February,” said John W.
