Yeshiva University is in mourning following the sudden passing of Senator Joseph Lieberman. The renowned figure, known for his faith in the public square and his historic political career, was described by Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman, President of Yeshiva University, as a dear friend, mentor, and American hero.

"Today, I lost a dear friend and mentor, and we all lost an American hero who devoted his life to the service of this country," Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman expressed in a statement.

Senator Lieberman's long-standing relationship with Yeshiva University, dating back to his role as a professor and later as a member of the Board of Trustees, highlighted his commitment to shared values and making the world a better place.
