Columbia’s Chief Operating Officer, Cas Holloway, has released a statement regarding the unsanctioned event that occurred on Sunday night despite multiple cancellations by both Columbia and Barnard. Holloway expressed the university's strong stance by stating, "The event that took place Sunday night was unsanctioned and unapproved and was held despite multiple cancellations by both Columbia and Barnard."

In response to the incident, Holloway mentioned, "We immediately notified law enforcement and engaged an outside firm led by experienced former law enforcement investigators to conduct an investigation." Furthermore, he added, "We have banned the outside speakers from campus."

Emphasizing Columbia University's values, Holloway stated, "Columbia University rejects all forms of hate and bigotry, and we unequivocally condemn language that promotes or supports violence in any manner." He concluded the statement by affirming the university's commitment to enforcing policies, saying, "We will pursue discipline against any community member who has violated our policies."
