The New York Automotive and Diesel Institute enrolls 188 undergrads

At the New York Automotive and Diesel Institute, 53 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 95 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year private for-profit institution in Jamaica enrolled 188 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. No undergraduates were transferred from another college or university.

99 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 1 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (40 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (26 percent).
