RIETS raises over $3 million at Evening of Tribute

The Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS) held a successful Evening of Tribute on March 25, marking a significant occasion in its history. Drawing over 600 attendees, the event raised more than $3 million. The gathering included Torah scholars, alumni, community leaders, musmachim, and students, highlighting RIETS's impact on Torah leadership internationally.

Rosh Yeshiva Ari Berman, alongside Hershel Schachter, celebrated the appointment of Deans Rabbi Aryeh Lebowitz and Rabbi Dr. Yosef Kalinsky. The event celebrated RIETS's longstanding legacy and planned future directions, marked by heartfelt words from Rav Hershel Schachter.

Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman, President and Rosh Yeshiva of RIETS, stated, “Tonight is more than a celebration—it is a reaffirmation of our sacred mission.” He emphasized the role of RIETS in preparing future leaders for the Jewish community.

A video of Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik zt”l was shown, reinforcing a foundational message. The event also honored those devoted to Jewish community ideals. Dr. David Pelcovitz received the RIETS Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to Torah and mental health.

Benyamin and Esti Kaminetzky's family received the inaugural Dor L’Dor Award for their dedication to Torah and RIETS. There was a tribute to Israel and the IDF underscoring the mission of RIETS-trained rabbanim worldwide.

Rabbi Dr. Yosef Kalinsky acknowledged the support and partnership fueling RIETS. Rabbi Aryeh Lebowitz, as Torah Dean, reiterated the collective gratitude and the journey ahead for RIETS.
