Juilliard School is set to launch a new series in collaboration with Carnegie Hall this spring. The inaugural events, titled "Juilliard at Zankel Hall," will feature performances by Juilliard students and faculty, beginning with "Premieres and New Works" on March 24 and followed by "A Celebration of Meredith Monk" on April 3.

The first event will showcase works by composers Matthew Aucoin, Jessie Montgomery, and Caroline Shaw. Juilliard's president Damian Woetzel will co-host the evening alongside the composers. The program includes a world premiere by Shaw and new arrangements by Aucoin. "Premieres and New Works" marks the culmination of Montgomery’s winter residency as a Creative Associate at Juilliard.

On April 3, the focus shifts to Meredith Monk, whose residency as a Distinguished Visiting Artist at Juilliard concludes with a special performance. Students from various departments including chamber music, vocal arts, jazz, and dance will perform an all-Monk program. This event honors Monk’s contributions as a composer and performer during her 60th performance season.

In preparation for these performances, Monk and her ensemble are conducting workshops with Juilliard students across multiple disciplines. These sessions emphasize interdisciplinary collaboration, a core aspect of Juilliard's curriculum.

Tickets for both performances can be purchased online through juilliard.edu or carnegiehall.org, via phone at (212) 247-7800, or in person at the Carnegie Hall Box Office.
