In a tweet posted on March 18, Meng highlighted the dire situation in Sudan where halted U.S. aid has resulted in over 7,000 children and 900 pregnant women losing access to essential nutritional care. She described the closure of treatment sites as "a death sentence for the most vulnerable" and urged immediate action to address this crisis. Later that day, Meng announced mobile office hours at Queens Public Library in Maspeth scheduled for March 19 from 11 am to 2 pm. Additionally, Meng reminded her constituents of an upcoming VA Intake Day event at Forest Hills American Legion Post #1424 on March 19 from 10 am to 2 pm.
