In March, Dr. David M. Dines, an orthopedic and sports medicine surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City and HSS Long Island, received a lifetime achievement award from Long Island Business News. This recognition is one of many accolades Dr. Dines has accumulated over his 45-year career.
Dr. Dines has held significant roles such as medical director of the HSS Education Institute and co-chief of the shoulder fellowship at HSS since 2017. He is also recognized for his work with professional athletes, including those on the Association of Tennis Professionals Tour, the Long Island Ducks minor-league baseball team, and the New York Mets.
In 2024, he was honored with a lifetime achievement award from the Middle Atlantic Shoulder and Elbow Society.
