Yeshiva University Maccabees claimed the Skyline Championship in a thrilling match against Farmingdale State Rams, with a final score of 81-78. Zevi Samet led the charge, scoring a game-high 37 points, and was awarded the Skyline Tournament MVP honors. The victory came after an intense comeback in which Samet's crucial three-point shot put the Macs ahead for the first time in the second half.

The team’s performance was praised by Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman, President of Yeshiva University, who expressed pride in their representation of the university's values. "When you play for Yeshiva University, you are not playing for a school. You are playing for a people," he said.

Head coach Elliot Steinmetz also commended his players' efforts. "Sometimes you need to let your players be better players than you are a coach," Steinmetz remarked. He highlighted Samet's pivotal role and acknowledged the team's hard work in securing their place in the NCAA Tournament.

During this week’s events, Yeshiva honored the memory of Shiri Bibas and her sons Ariel and Kfir by wearing orange jerseys, symbolizing resilience even when trailing by 16 points in the second half.

The Macs will now advance to face Tufts University in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
