Paton Ashbrook, a Juilliard alum, has been steadily building her career in the TV and film industry. She recently appeared as ADA Jenny Sullivan on Starz's Power Book II: Ghost. During the pandemic, she developed and produced the horror film Come Home, which won best feature film at the Ravenna Nightmare Film Fest. Ashbrook has also been involved in voiceover work, notably as the voice of Crest toothpaste since 2019.
In addition to her acting career, Ashbrook has completed over 500 hours of yoga teacher training. Her practice has contributed to her well-being in the entertainment industry. This interest led her to explore somatic education and neuroscience. She completed a yearlong training with trauma expert Gabor Maté in his psychotherapeutic approach called Compassionate Inquiry and participated in mind-body coaching training with Embody Lab.
Ashbrook now coaches individuals and teaches a master workshop series titled Freeing the Artist Body at institutions such as Juilliard, Washington University, LA County High School for the Arts, and the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She is also launching public offerings to help people connect with their authentic selves and hosts the FreeBody Podcast. In June, she married in California.
"Life after Juilliard has been nothing if not epic," Ashbrook states.
