On February 15, 2025, Espaillat expressed his commitment to improving the situation for families in his district. He extended gratitude towards participants of the immigration forum "Conozca Sus Derechos." The following day, on February 16, 2025, Espaillat voiced solidarity with the Letter Carriers Branch 36 and NALC National President Brian Renfroe in remembrance of Ray Hodge. He emphasized support for Hodge’s family and colleagues in efforts to prevent violence against letter carriers. Espaillat announced plans to reintroduce legislation mandating body camera usage among these agencies' personnel.
