Adriano Espaillat, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New York's 13th district, shared several tweets on January 26, 2025, commemorating the birth of Juan Pablo Duarte and celebrating Dominican heritage. Espaillat has been serving in Congress since 2017 after replacing Charles Rangel and has a long history of public service in New York.

In his first tweet on January 26, Espaillat stated: "Today, we commemorate the birth of Juan Pablo Duarte — the foremost of the founding fathers of the Dominican Republic and a revolutionary who never lost the vision of freedom."

Later that day, he tweeted about local celebrations: "Joining friends and families across New York’s 13th congressional district to celebrate our Dominican heritage, our culture, and our pride."

Espaillat also shared a similar message in Spanish: "Hoy conmemoramos el natalicio de Juan Pablo Duarte, el más fundamental de los padres fundadores de la República Dominicana y un revolucionario que nunca perdió la visión de la libertad."
