On January 22, 2025, Meng criticized an executive order signed by Donald Trump on his first day that allegedly raised prices on prescription drugs for Americans on Medicare and Medicaid. She expressed concern about the lack of a plan from the new administration to help families save money in Queens. "On day one, Donald Trump signed an executive order to raise prices on Rx drugs for Americans on Medicare & Medicaid."

Later that day, Meng reflected on the historical significance of Roe v. Wade and lamented its overturning by the Supreme Court. She emphasized the ongoing struggle to restore reproductive rights for millions who have lost their ability to make decisions about their bodies. "52 years ago #RoeVWade affirmed the constitutional right to an abortion."

In another tweet posted that same evening, Meng highlighted her support for a significant investment in Queens' first comprehensive cancer center at Jamaica Hospital. She underscored the importance of providing world-class cancer care to residents diagnosed with cancer each year in her borough. "Thousands of Queens residents are diagnosed with cancer each year."
