A Juilliard alum has shared his experiences after graduation, highlighting a successful career in music. William Leathers, who completed an accelerated Bachelor of Music and Master of Music program at Juilliard, secured the position of principal trumpet with the Nashville Symphony before finishing his studies. "A few months before I graduated, I auditioned for the position of principal trumpet with the Nashville Symphony and got the job while completing my final year at Juilliard," Leathers stated.

Leathers' achievements extend beyond this role. He also became the principal trumpet for the Santa Fe Opera and joined prestigious ensembles such as the 2022 National Brass Ensemble. His performances include collaborations with renowned orchestras like the Cleveland Orchestra, St. Louis Symphony, Toronto Symphony, and Philadelphia Orchestra.

In addition to ensemble work, Leathers has been invited to perform solo recitals and conduct master classes across North America. In fall 2023, he performed a concerto with the Knoxville Symphony. Reflecting on his post-graduation journey, Leathers remarked, "Overall, things have been great since graduating!"

William Leathers is a testament to how Juilliard alumni can thrive in their respective fields after completing their education.
