Nydia Velázquez, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing New York's 7th district, recently shared updates on social media regarding significant developments involving her colleagues and community initiatives. Velázquez has been an influential figure in Congress since 1993, succeeding Stephen Solarz.

On December 5, 2024, Velázquez congratulated her fellow representatives on their new roles. She expressed pride in seeing New Yorkers take leadership positions during critical times. She highlighted the importance of these funds in advancing energy resilience within underserved communities.
