Cost of college went up for all students at Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art

Tuition and fees rose 3.5 percent for 2018-19 at Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

New York students paid $46,700 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,600 more than the $45,100 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 98 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 186 students received grants or scholarships totaling $6.4 million and 48 students took out student loans totaling more than $235,506.

Including all undergraduates (952), 857 students used grants or scholarships totaling $29.4 million, and 168 students took out $948,323 in federal student loans.
