Cost of college went up for all students at Jewish Theological Seminary of America

Tuition and fees rose 3.8 percent for 2018-19 at Jewish Theological Seminary of America, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

New York students paid $56,778 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $2,094 more than the $54,684 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 66 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 25 students received grants or scholarships totaling $523,663 and 9 students took out student loans totaling more than $67,500.

Including all undergraduates (336), 108 students used grants or scholarships totaling $2.6 million, and 32 students took out $189,399 in federal student loans.
