Cost of college was unchanged for all students at CUNY LaGuardia Community College

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at CUNY LaGuardia Community College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

New York residents paid $5,218 to attend the two-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-resident students would have paid 55.2 percent more than residents this year, or $8,098. Non-resident tuition and fees were unchanged from $8,098 in 2017-18.

About 93 percent of the school's undergraduate population are New York residents. And about 6 percent are citizens of other countries.

Data shows 84 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 2,141 students received grants or scholarships totaling $13.2 million and 78 students took out student loans totaling more than $337,847.

Including all undergraduates (19,300), 10,093 students used grants or scholarships totaling $53.1 million, and 777 students took out $3.5 million in federal student loans.
