Cost of college went up for all students at Manhattan School of Music

Tuition and fees rose 2.9 percent for 2018-19 at Manhattan School of Music, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

New York students paid $47,300 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $2,700 more than the $44,600 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 75 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 82 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.9 million and 66 students took out student loans totaling more than $198,737.

Including all undergraduates (1,008), 383 students used grants or scholarships totaling $8.3 million, and 160 students took out $1 million in federal student loans.
