84 percent of applicants to American Academy of Dramatic Arts-New York were admitted for fall 2018

At American Academy of Dramatic Arts-New York, 77 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 62 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year private not-for-profit institution in New York enrolled 270 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 14.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

34 percent of undergraduates are residents of other states. 35 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (40 percent) and Black or African American (9 percent).

The school admitted 84 percent of the 338 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 33 percent enrolled.
