47 percent of applicants to Jewish Theological Seminary of America were admitted for fall 2018

At Jewish Theological Seminary of America, 99 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 54 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in New York enrolled 336 students in fall 2018, including 147 in undergraduate and 189 in graduate programs, data shows. 1.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

26 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 74 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (76 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (7 percent).

The school admitted 47 percent of the 139 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 48 percent enrolled.
