89 percent of applicants to Yeshiva Gedola Ohr Yisrael were admitted for fall 2018

At Yeshiva Gedola Ohr Yisrael, 95 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 100 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Brooklyn enrolled 38 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 34.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

86 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 14 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (97 percent).

The school admitted 89 percent of the nine students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 88 percent enrolled.
