44 percent of applicants to CUNY Brooklyn College were admitted for fall 2018

At CUNY Brooklyn College, 73 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 57 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Brooklyn enrolled 18,161 students in fall 2018, including 14,978 in undergraduate and 3,183 in graduate programs, data shows. 14.1 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

97 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 1 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (29 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (23 percent).

The school admitted 44 percent of the 20,936 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 19 percent enrolled.
