22 percent of applicants to New York School of Interior Design were admitted for fall 2018

At New York School of Interior Design, 53 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 88 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in New York enrolled 537 students in fall 2018, including 378 in undergraduate and 159 in graduate programs, data shows. 24.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

50 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 33 percent are residents of other states. 17 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (54 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (12 percent).

The school admitted 22 percent of the 285 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 29 percent enrolled.
