79 percent of applicants to Mercy College were admitted for fall 2018

At Mercy College, 70 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 66 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Dobbs Ferry enrolled 9,031 students in fall 2018, including 6,611 in undergraduate and 2,420 in graduate programs, data shows. 9.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

88 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 11 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Hispanic or Latino (39 percent) and white (24 percent).

The school admitted 79 percent of the 6,851 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 17 percent enrolled.
