71 percent of applicants to Touro College were admitted for fall 2018

At Touro College, 59 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 72 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in New York enrolled 11,800 students in fall 2018, including 5,982 in undergraduate and 5,818 in graduate programs, data shows. 12.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

81 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 15 percent are residents of other states. 4 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (60 percent) and Black or African American (12 percent).

The school admitted 71 percent of the 1,928 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 47 percent enrolled.
