Graduates earn 1,389 degrees, certificates from the Pratt Institute-Main

About 58 percent of the 1,389 degrees and certificates handed out by the Pratt Institute-Main in 2017-18 were to students in visual and performing arts programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Brooklyn conferred 520 bachelor's degrees and 231 master's degrees in visual and performing arts programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in architecture. Data shows the school gave out 131 bachelor's degrees in architecture, followed by 84 master's degrees in architectural and building sciences/technology and 82 bachelor's degrees in graphic design.

The institute enrolled 5,015 students for 2017-18, including 3,634 in undergraduate programs and 1,381 in graduate programs.
