Graduates earn 2,028 degrees, certificates from Yeshiva University

About 26 percent of the 2,028 degrees and certificates handed out by Yeshiva University in 2017-18 were to students in philosophy and religious studies programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in York conferred 487 associate's degrees and 30 bachelor's degrees in philosophy and religious studies programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in jewish/judaic studies. Data shows the school gave out 487 associate's degrees in jewish/judaic studies, followed by 272 doctor's degrees in law and 172 doctor's degrees in medicine.

The university enrolled 6,479 students for 2017-18, including 2,728 in undergraduate programs and 3,751 in graduate programs.
