Major League Baseball has released the schedule for the 2026 regular season. The season will start on March 25 with a game between the San Francisco Giants and the New York Yankees at Oracle Park in San Francisco. This matchup will serve as a standalone Opening Night event, followed by a full slate of games on March 26. This marks the earliest traditional Opening Day in MLB history.
The All-Star Game is scheduled for July 14 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, coinciding with the 250th anniversary of American independence. It will be the first time since 1996 that the Phillies host All-Star festivities and the first at Citizens Bank Park, which opened in 2004.
Teams will continue to feature Interleague matchups similar to those from two seasons ago. Notable series include the Boston Red Sox visiting Busch Stadium from April 10-12, and the Los Angeles Dodgers playing at Yankee Stadium from July 17-19 to open the second half of the season. The Yankees are also set to play at Wrigley Field from July 31-August 2, while the Chicago Cubs will end their season at Fenway Park from September 25-27.
A “Rivalry Weekend” is planned for May 15-17, highlighting regional rivalries such as Yankees vs. Mets, Cubs vs. White Sox, Royals vs. Cardinals, Rangers vs. Astros, Orioles vs. Nationals, and Dodgers vs. Angels.
The Oakland Athletics will spend their season at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento but will also host two series at Las Vegas Ballpark in June.
All teams are scheduled to play on Jackie Robinson Day (April 15), Lou Gehrig Day (June 2), and Roberto Clemente Day (September 15). On each occasion, teams including the Dodgers, Yankees, and Pirates will be playing home games. Additionally, from September 11-13, the Yankees will host the Mets to mark the 25th anniversary of September 11.
