As the Minor League Baseball season nears its end, several pitching prospects across all 30 Major League farm systems are standing out with strong late-summer performances. With teams monitoring innings and fatigue, these pitchers have maintained or even elevated their level of play.

For the New York Yankees, left-hander Kyle Carr has emerged as the top performer among a group of notable arms. Carr, who was selected in the third round of the 2023 Draft, holds a 1.73 ERA over four August starts at High-A. He has thrown at least six innings in each outing and allowed one run or fewer in his past three games. On August 21, he pitched 6 1/3 scoreless innings against Jersey Shore.

“Twelve of the Yankees’ top 19 prospects are hurlers, so there is serious competition in this system. Still, no one is throwing the ball as well right now as Carr, the club’s third-round pick from the ‘23 Draft. The 23-year-old southpaw owns a 1.73 ERA in four August starts at High-A, having thrown at least six innings in all of them. He’s allowed one run or fewer in each of his past three, most recently logging 6 1/3 scoreless against Jersey Shore on Aug. 21.”

Other organizations also report promising pitching performances:

– Gage Stanifer (Blue Jays) posted a 2.00 ERA and recorded three consecutive quality starts for High-A Vancouver.
– Michael Forret (Orioles) was promoted to Double-A after not allowing an earned run in his last four High-A starts.
– Brody Hopkins (Rays) has compiled a 1.13 ERA and tallied 20 strikeouts over his last three outings for Double-A Montgomery.
– Yhoiker Fajardo (Red Sox), an international signee from Venezuela, delivered five scoreless outings in his last six starts for Single-A Salem.

Across other divisions, players like Braylon Doughty (Guardians), David Shields (Royals), Lucas Elissalt (Tigers), Ty Langenberg (Twins), and Peyton Pallette (White Sox) have made significant impacts within their respective farm systems.

The list also includes updates on prospects such as Trey Gregory-Alford (Angels), Alonzo Tredwell (Astros), Cole Miller (A’s), Adam Seminaris (Mariners), Caden Scarborough (Rangers), Hayden Harris (Braves), Robby Snelling (Marlins), Jonah Tong (Mets), Jarlin Susana (Nationals), Mavis Graves (Phillies), Jaron DeBerry (Brewers), Brycen Mautz (Cardinals), Tyler Schlaffer (Cubs), Connor Wietgrefe (Pirates), Simon Miller (Reds), Daniel Eagen (D-backs), Marlon Nieves (Dodgers), Jacob Bresnahan (Giants), Kash Mayfield (Padres) and Griffin Herring (Rockies).

With only weeks left before postseason play begins across Minor League levels, these pitchers remain key names to watch as they close out their seasons.
