Victoria Papadopoulou and Noemi Babikova of the St. John’s women’s tennis team were selected for the All-BIG EAST postseason teams, the conference announced on Apr. 30.

The recognition highlights their strong performances during the 2026 season. Papadopoulou was named to the First Team All-BIG EAST after compiling a 16-2 singles record, including a 5-3 mark in conference play at the No. 1 position. This is her second career All-BIG EAST selection, following a Second Team honor in 2025. She also went 3-1 in singles matches during the BIG EAST Tournament, contributing to St. John’s reaching its eleventh consecutive conference semifinal.

Babikova earned Second Team honors after winning fifteen matches overall and achieving a perfect 4-0 record in postseason play. Although she posted a 6-7 overall singles record, she excelled within the conference with a 5-1 mark at No. 2 singles.

The pair also performed well together in doubles competition, finishing with an overall record of eight wins and two losses, including five wins at the No. 2 position and three victories during BIG EAST play.

St. John’s ended its season with sixteen wins against six losses overall and advanced to its eleventh straight conference semifinal under Head Coach Lauren Leo. The program has had at least one player selected for an All-BIG EAST team every year since 2012.

Papadopoulou joins other First Team honorees such as Ela Platenikova (UConn), Sasha Stula (DePaul), Kira Farrakhova (Seton Hall), Abby Nugent (Xavier), and Maddie Rexroat (Xavier). Babikova is joined on the Second Team by Chloe Lomans (UConn), Sophie Schwartz (Creighton), Yasemin Pehlivan (DePaul), Julia Chu (Georgetown), and Olivia Corcoran (Villanova).
