Thirteen members of the Columbia University softball team have been named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes for the 2024-25 academic year, according to an announcement by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) on Thursday.
The athletes recognized are Emmy Davis, Jordan Hill, Tatum Hubble, Olivia Madkins, Alicia Marzouca, Lily McCord, Savannah Messner, Sarah Mikami, Cami Neal, Caylene Nguyen, Juju O’Brien, Mandy Pelatowski, and Payton Shimansky.
The NFCA honors student-athletes who achieve a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the academic year. For 2024-25, a total of 2,544 NCAA Division I softball players met this standard. Columbia has maintained a consistent presence on this list since 2016 with at least seven athletes recognized each year.
Cami Neal received the scholar-athlete honor for the fourth time in her career. Jordan Hill and Sarah Mikami were honored for the third time. Tatum Hubble, Olivia Madkins, Lily McCord, and Payton Shimansky earned their second recognition.
According to the NFCA release: “The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association’s membership categories. Team GPAs and scholar-athletes are submitted by member head coaches.”
