Columbia University archery rising senior Sydney Sullenberger contributed to Team USA’s success at the 2025 FISU World University Games, securing a silver medal in the compound women’s team bracket. Competing alongside Leann Drake and Danielle Woodie, the team began by defeating Kazakhstan with a score of 233-228. They advanced to the semifinals, overcoming India by three points, 233-230, before being narrowly defeated by Korea in the finals with a score of 233-230.
This achievement marks Sullenberger’s third international medal. She previously won gold at the World Youth Archery Championships in Limerick, Ireland, in 2023 and claimed victory at the National Championship during the USA Archery JOAD Target Nationals that same year. Additionally, Sullenberger was selected for the United States Archery Team (USAT) as one of five competitors in the women’s compound U21 division.
