The New York University social media team, in collaboration with Student Wellbeing, initiated a project where faculty members shared their experiences with failure and the subsequent learning process. The initiative aims to highlight that personal growth often stems from overcoming challenges rather than simply achieving success.

Several faculty members participated in this project. They included Keith Woerpel, Lourdes Davila, De Angela Duff, Erica Saldivar Garcia, Nate Mickelson, Joseph Esposito, Carolyn Kissane, Jordana Mendelson, and Fidelindo Lim.

The faculty emphasized that encountering and dealing with failure can lead to significant personal and professional development. They shared personal anecdotes and insights into how failure has shaped their paths and provided opportunities for improvement and learning.

The project encourages students and other members of the NYU community to view failure not as an endpoint but as a crucial step in the journey toward success.
